I am from…

I am from the colorful paintings,
from Legos and foam swords.
I am from the spacious rooms,
and cookie scents.
I am from the tops of trees,
The towering oak,
whose branches I remember as if they were my own.
I’m from reunions and road trips,
from Dian and Paul.
I’m from fishing trips and meat cookouts,
and hunting.
I’m from booger monsters and fairy tales,
and from the brush your teeth song.
I’m from Docs on Saturdays
I’m from Redwood City, California.
I am from venison wrapped in bacon and jerky.
I am from the countless deer skulls,
lining the walls,
of my room.

Head

My family has a pet dog named Head. This peculiar name really suites him as his head is only half the size of his body. His previous owners got the name from some movie and since it suited him so well, they named him Head. He is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier so he he is a smaller dog with a bigger head. We got Head from my parent’s college friends about 2 years ago who lived in Australia. They were moving somewhere in Europe that didn’t allow dogs so they sent him to us. When we try to play fetch with Head he will chase they ball down, then sit there and try to eat it. He eats most anything he can. When we have guests over he will run up to them and lick there legs, I know what your thinking, but the actual reason he does this is that he likes to lick the salty sweat off your legs. Head is probably the most comical dog you will ever meet.

Halloween

On Halloween I went trick or treating with my friends Jeffery, Jason, and Ryan. I had a black morph suit on with a green and white top hat I won at Celebration West Ridge. Jason had on a black morph suit with a black fedora. Jeffery had on a Yankees shirt, normal shorts and a baseball mask. Ryan had on a black “grim reaper” robe with a Scream mask. We went trick or treating by Ryan’s house from about 7:00 till 9:00. When we finally got back to Ryan’s house our bags were about to overflow with candy. My little brother had gone trick or treating with my mom and some of his friends in a different part of Lost Creek. When he showed me the candy he had acquired the first thing I noticed was that he had at least one fourth snickers!
